编者按:从认知维度研究语言的认知语言学已经惠及语言本质的认知和洞见,已经惠及众多语言工作
者。综观学界,当今的认知语言学有两条发展途径:一是跨学科研究,本文刊发的张辉先生和缪海涛老
师的文章可以佐证;二是继续深入、细致地发掘语言这一特殊本体的隐喻性等内在机制,如葛建民和赵
芳芳合作的成果。

提要:本文论述当前认知语言学与社会语言学的合流以及由此产生的认知社会语言学,结合 Kristiansen & D irven
(2008)的《认知社会语言学》一书简要述评认知社会语言学的主要应用领域和研究特点。认知社会语言学创造了认知
语言学理论对语言研究和社会研究的新价值,是认知语言学的新使命在新的历史时期的发展。

This paper deals with the convergence of Cognitive L inguistic research and Social L inguistic research from a perspective of
the theoretical and methodological trend in Cognitive L inguistics. The consequence of such a convergence is Cognitive Sociolin
guistics. B rief assessment is given to the app lications and the research features of such a new branch in the light of the researches
in Cognitive Sociolinguistics. Cognitive Sociolinguistics creates new values within Cognitive L inguistics for both linguistic study
and social study, opens up new horizons for cognitive linguistics, and in the
