Informative Abstract
Zha Shibiao was the representative individual of Xinan School. The Xinan School was also a strategic town of early Qing dynasty painting world. The landscapes painting of Xinan School gives off a naturally exquisite and aloof temperament, the style and abuttal was elegant and peacefully beauty. Zha Shibiao brought such a style into Yang Zhou while he expanding the markets for his art in Yang Zhou, he also impacted the early Qing dynasty painting world positively, as thus he became the first sign of Yang Zhou School. Except influence of Shi Tao’s rough bleak style, the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou’s stick style of Chinese ink painting also has an internal relationship with Zha Shibiao’s deserted and cold style. The Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou’s creative unconventional tendency was somehow influenced by Zha Shibiao’s clumsy and fantastic calligraphy. The poetry plishment and calligraphy and painting ’bination along with the elegance fashions of poetry, calligraphy, painting and seal which Zha Shibiao inherited from the traditional also directly altered the aesthetic consciousness of these literati painters in Yangzhou market. The artistic spirit of Zha Shibiao’s landscapes still has its echo in our days.
Zha Shibiao was associate with adherents of former dynasty such as Jian Jang,
Wang Zhirui, Gong Xian, Da Chongguang, Wang Hui, Shi Tao. They encourage each
other by poem and literature. In the greatest changes between Ming and Qing Ding dynasty, focus in poetry and painting was the best way to facing the drastic changes of cultural ecology and the best presentation of cultural survival of literati artist’s true conscience. Their unique style of artistic ideals also demonstrated by these paintings, and furthermore, the discourse and genre system along with sense munity were also formed by these. These literati artist in the drastic changes period’s pluralism and multidirectional cultural zeitgeist not only marked their choice and significance
