Time has fleeted without trace; when reflecting on my high school
experience, the memory of the ettable extracurricular activities
flashes into my mind, among which the most glittering diamond was my
miraculous journey to Shanghai High School English Debating
Competition last summer. Never had it occurred to me, nor to our whole
team, that we would end up with runner-up, given that we encountered
so many tough and skilled opponents.
To begin with, the amazing result was undoubtedly the best reward.
Dressed up in suits and ties, on the platform we stood, enjoying the
standing ovation; we were immersed in a great sense of achievement
and fulfillment.
In addition, despite our different grades, diverse opinions and various
approach to problem solving, every team member managed to ward off
our disparity, being tolerate of oppositions, agile to take action and easy
to get along with. United as one, we were able to plish what none
of us was capable of as individuals.
