 Harness configuration
The following requirements apply:
(a) Strollers and toddler seats shall have an integral, permanently attached harness
assembly, comprising of a set of shoulder straps, waist and crotch straps for each

(b) The buckling device, associated tongues and ponents of the harness
assembly shall be constructed such as to prevent their removal from the straps.
(c) The buckle shall either —
(i) require two separate operations to release; or
(ii) if the mechanism can be released with a single action, then a force of at least
40 N shall be required to release the buckle tongues. This force shall be applied
to the actuator in the normal manner of actuation but shall not be applied within
3 mm of the edge of the actuator surface.
