His life
e Gordon Byron, (22 January 1788 – 19 April 1824), was an English poet and a leading figure in the Romantic movement.
2 .Born in an impoverished noble family. His father was a captain nicknamed “Mad Jack”;His mother is a passionate(性格多变) women, petted and abused him alternately.
is a clubfoot(跛足),his mother called him “you lame brat”, so he lived a unhappy life when he was young.
10, he studied at Harrow and Cambridge. While as a student ,he published his first collection of poems:Hours of Idleness(悠闲的时光)
1815, Byron married Miss Milbank, a solemnly religious young woman , who made up her mind to “reform” Byron by marrying him. It proved a most unhappy marriage. A year later, after the birth of their daughter, his wife left and never returned.
