摘要:《喜福会》是美国著名的华裔女作家谭恩美的代表作品。在该小说中,四位生活在美国的中国母亲与她们出生在美国并在美国长大的女儿们经历了文化冲突,文化谅解和文化融合的过程。本文从著名华裔作家谭恩美的畅销小说《喜福会》入手,通过小说中四对母女之间的心理隔膜、感情冲突及种种爱爱怨怨讨论了中国文化与美国文化的差异与碰撞,以及这两种截然不同的文化之间在母女情深中的相互兼容。

Abstract:The Joy Luck Club is written by Amy Tan, a famous Chinese American writer. In the novel, the four Chinese mothers and their American-born daughters have experienced cultural conflict, cultural understanding and blending. From the psychological estrangement and emotional conflicts between four groups of mother and daughter in The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan, this paper discusses the difference and clashes between Chinese and American Culture, and the pleted in mother and daughter’s love juxtaposed between these two cultures.
