Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is important to know events happening around the world, though sometimes they will not affect your daily life.
When the question refers to you whether you are interested in events that happen around the world and maybe they have nothing to do with you, a lot of people might say ‘no’. In their eyes, they just need to take care of things which mean to them. In my prospective, however, I will be very delighted to receive news spreading out the world without thinking the importance to me.
It is our duty to know the changing of the world, which helps us to leave a better impression on others to begin with. If we just focus on things we care, then the information we get is apparently limited. For example, if a college student who is major in Mathematics only sees events related to his work, then he might have no idea about the television show stars or the winner of a political voting. He is easily to be connected to a bookworm, which is not a positive judgment to a hard-working student.
Besides, it is helpful that we can make friends at an entirely unfamiliar occasion. If we only pay attention to those events which have strong relationships with us, obviously, making new friends is in a hardship. With no similar topics goes, people are just like block their hearts to the new ones and new worlds, which makes munication less , it does harm to the whole society either.
Furthermore, knowing a variety of news from all around the world assist us to enrich our knowledge and open our minds. Take my cousin as an example. She is an out-going girl and is very popular at school. Nevertheless, she was not like that 3 years ago. She used to be a very pathetic girl who always worried about things happened around her. Under the professor’s guide, she began to read more news and learn more events that take place in other cities, in quite different countries. She finally recognized that
