1936年10月下旬,三大主力会师后,为打通国际路线,创建河西根据
地,中央军委命令,原四方面军的九军,三十军和五军组成西路军,由徐
向前任总指挥,陈昌浩任总政委,转战河西150多天,除少部由李先念等人
力尽千难万险到达新疆外,主力部队几乎全军覆没。西路军为了党中央的
安全,为了河东红军的战略转移,为了策应“西安事变”的和平解决,英
勇地作出了自我牺牲。它的赫赫功勋应当永垂党史,军史和中国革命史。
然而,种种原因给西路军加上不堪不实的罪名,长达半个多世纪,直到20
世纪80年代,在徐向前、李先念和邓小平、陈云等同志的直接干预下,西
路军的历史真相才逐步澄清,并为学术界和公众所接受。今天学习西路军
英勇悲壮、永载史册的不朽业绩,对我们仍有巨大的教育鼓舞作用。

ABSTRACT
In 1936 late October, after three big main forces joined together, to make a
connection with the international line, found the Hexi base, the Central Military
Committee ordered, the original four front army's nine armed forces, 30 armed
forces and five armed forces formed the west route army, was appointed the
commander in chief by Xu Xiangqian, Chen Changhao is appointed chief
missar, fought one place after another in Hexi more than 150
days, besides few pletely hardships and dangers and so on
arrived in Xinjiang led by Li Xiannian, the Principal force was annihilated
nearly. The west route army for Central mittee's security, for east of
the river Red Army's strategic shift, to coordinate “the Xi'an Incident” the
peaceful settlement, has made the self-sacrifice heroically. Its Illustrious
meritorious service must forever hang the Party history,the armed forces history
and the Chinese revolution history. However, all sorts of reasons add on the
west route army are more than a half centuries, until the 1980s, Chen Yun, Li
Xiannian and rade Deng Xiaoping's direct interventions, the west route
army's historic truth only then gradually clarified, and accepted for the academic
circle and the public. Today we study the west route army’s heroic solemn and
stirring, forever to carry the annals the immortal achievement, still have huge
education inspiration function to us.
