During the secondhalf of 18th century there is already astory that says that cocktail showed upduring America independence,however the origin of cocktail is anunsolved first published reference to thecocktail appears in the Farmer's (Amherst, New Hampshire, April 28, 1803).There are as many stories behind theorigin of the name cocktail as there arebehind the creation of the first Margaritaor the Martini. As always, some arepreposterous, some believable and whoknows, one may be the truth.
