Abstract

Objective: Observe the curative effect of vascular dementia acupuncture treatment.
Method: 40 patients with vascular dementia patients, according to the principle of randomly
divided into acupuncture group and drug group, two groups of every 20 cases. Two groups of
patients who were given acupuncture and oral aricept, were evaluated the therapeutic effect
after 12 weeks. Results: group and drug group of MMSE score in the
treatment of before-and-after significantly(P<),but the two pared before and
after the treatment have no significant difference(P>), two groups to improve cognitive
function in patients with total effective for 75%,85% groups of ADL
score in the treatment of before-and-after significantly(P < ),but the two groups
compared before and after the treatment have no significant difference(P>), with an
improved ability to daily life total effective for 75%,85% . Two groups of
SDSVD score in the treatment of before-and-after significantly(P<),but the two groups
compared before and after the treatment have no significant difference(P>), the
improvement of TCM symptoms total effective for 80%,60% respectively. Conclusion:
Acupuncture can markedly improve Vascular Dementia patients cognitive ability, daily
living skills and TCM symptoms.
