摘要
教育竞争力对一地区的发展有着特殊的地位和作用,是一地区综合竞争力的重要组
成部分。国内外的实践证明,高等教育竞争力与地区经济发展是有密切联系的。在竞争
日益激烈的知识经济时代,一地区要想取得经济、社会的健康发展,就必须重视教育,
重视高级知识人才的培养,努力提高本地区的高等教育竞争力。
本文拟从中部六省高等教育竞争力的比较中,客观认识目前河南省高等教育竞争力
的现状、优势和劣势,并提出相应对策,以期对提高我省高等教育竞争力有所裨益。中
部六省包括山西、河南、湖北、湖南、江西、安徽六省,相近的地理位置,相似
的历史文化以及“中部崛起”、“高教强国”战略的提出,决定了对其高等教育竞
争力进行比较的必要性。本文从以下几个部分进行研究。
第一部分通过对已有研究的梳理,界定相关概念,论述了选题的背景及意义,
研究现状和研究方法。
第二部分对高等教育竞争力构成要素及评价原则进行分析,根据高等教育竞
争力评价指标的设计原则,具体分析研究所具备的条件,划分了评价区域高等教
育竞争力的指标要素:教育规模、经费投入、学科建设能力、人才培养能力、科
学研究能力、服务社会能力等。
第三部分是对中部六省高等教育竞争力进行的比较。根据前文划分的指标要
素,比较分析河南省高等教育的发展在中部六省中的地位以及自身的优点与不足。
第四部分对河南高等教育竞争力进行了整体解读,肯定河南高等教育事业发
展取得的成就,同时更应看到发展的不足,并且分析造成这些不足的原因。
第五部分论述提升河南省高等教育竞争力的意义及对策。高等教育对区域经
济与政治发展的作用不容小觑,从中部六省的比较中得出河南高等教育竞争力的
不足,从而有针对性地提高河南省高等教育竞争力。

ABSTRACT
petitiveness has special status and role to regional development, it is an indispensable
part of petitiveness. Proved at home and abroad, competitiveness of higher
education and the development of regional economic are closely linked. In the knowledge economy times,
competition is increasingly fierce, for the purpose of healthy development of economy and society, a region
must attach importance to education, especially the cultivation of advanced knowledge talents, take every
effort to improve petitiveness of regional higher education.
From parison of higher petitiveness in the middle six provinces area,
this paper recognized the current situation, advantages and disadvantages of higher educational
competitiveness in Henan Province, what's more, put forward some corresponding counter
measures, in order to improve our province'petitiveness of higher education. The middle six
provinces area includes Shanxi Province, Henan Province, Hubei Province, Hunan province,
