关键词:外语学习焦虑;听力焦虑;元认知策略 v Abstract Many researchers have attached much attention to foreign language anxiety and listening anxiety, and the role of listening anxiety in language learning process. Based on previous study, many scholars in China focus on the following three aspects: proving the existence of listening anxiety among English major and non-English major college students, the relationship between listening anxiety and listening proficiency, and the relationship between listening anxiety and listening strategies. But the relationship between listening anxiety and metacognitive strategies is nearly scarce. Therefore the study grasps the gap of the relationship between these two factors to reduce listening anxiety to improve listening proficiency. The study shows literature review and previous studies about foreign language listening anxiety and metacognitive strategies. The research questions are examining correlation between listening anxiety and use of metacognitive strategies; differences in the use of metacognitive strategies among students of different listening anxiety levels; differences of listening anxiety and metacognitive strategy use between the experimental group and the control group; and differences of liste
