题目：Some people think adults should learn practical skills by themselves, while others think they should learn with teachers in the classroom. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
 
There is no doubt that adults should keep learning new skills to remain competitive in the workplace. Whether they should learn these skills by themselves or with teachers is a topic to debate.
Self-learning means that learners would have a flexible schedule without the limit of time and space. Most adults have a family to support and their work may keep them busy every day. It is difficult for them to allocate a fixed time slot to take part in a training course. Unlike children, adults have more self-control and discipline, which makes it possible for them to learn by themselves in their spare time. Besides, some people prefer self-learning rather than classroom learning
, because the latter tends to place an emphasis on theoretical knowledge.
On the other hand, some people advocate learning with teachers in formal training classes. Qualified teachers would help students learn in a fast and systematic way. When people learn practical skills, experience is particular important. The teacher’s guidance would help students avoid making mistakes and wasting time. In a training class, the students would know some classmates and wasting time. In a training class, the students would know some classmates, who would become their personal resources in their future careers.
In my opinion, when an adult decides to learn a certain skill, he or she should take various factors into consideration. Self-learning is more suitable for people whose time and finance is limited, but more discipline is required in this pattern. For those who can afford the time and money, attending a training class would be a more effective way to learn practical skills, particularly complicated skills which are difficult to learn by students themselves
