Comparison between Double Seventh Festival and Valentine's Day
Abstract: This paper mainly describes parison between China's Double Seventh Festival and the Western Valentine's Day .It will enable you know more about their origins, customs, and cultural connotations. The final chapter focuses on the collision between Double Seventh Festival and the Western Valentine's Day. How Chinese cultural exchanges with the West to retain and revitalize our cultural traditions, it is the focus that many Chinese people concern about. However, to save the Double Seventh Festival, we can’t follow the Western Valentine's Day automatically. Only depend on the government’ effective propaganda and people’s endorsement, officials and the public together to take effective measures can we achieve the Double Seventh Festival’s regeneration in modern society.

摘要: 本文主要介绍了中国七夕节与西方情人节的由来及习俗的比较,让您更了解有关中国七夕节和西方情人节的由来、风俗以及文化内涵。在文章的后一节着重讲了中国七夕节与西方情人节的碰撞。中国要如何在与西方的文化交流中保留并振兴本国的文化传统,已是不少中国人关注的焦点。然而挽救七夕节,却不能盲目效仿西方情人节。只有政府宣传得力,人民不忘传统,官民合力,采取有效措施,才能实现七夕传统节日在现代社会的创造再生。
