母亲节（mother’s day）
母亲节作为一个感谢母亲的节日，最早的庆祝仪式发生在古希腊。在美国、加拿大和一些其他国家，每年五月的第二个星期天就是母亲节。在其他一些国家的日期并不一样（参见世界各国母亲节日期）。母亲们在这一天通常会收到礼物。康乃馨被视为献给母亲的花。
Mother's day as a holiday to thank his mother, the first ceremony took place in ancient Greece. In the United States, Canada and some other countries, every year the second Sunday of may is mother's day. On the date of the other countries are not the same (see all countries in the world mother's day date). Mothers on this day would normally receive gifts. Carnation is regarded as dedicated to mother's flower.

In the modern sense of mother's day originated in the United States, by AmanmJarvis (1864-1948), she never married, always accompany beside her mother. When her mother died in 1905, Amanm distraught. Two years later (1907), Amanm and her friends began to wrote a letter to influential ministers, businessmen, lawmakers to seek support, so that the mother's day become a legal holiday.
