一 课题: Module 8 Accidents
Unit2 I was trying to pick it up when it bit me again.
二 教学目标:
: 1. To be able to use the past continuous with
adverbial clause, such as when, while, as by reading and writing.
2. To gasp the new words about accidents and phases
relative to accidents.
:To understand the passage about the accident,
especially the reason why Henry takes a photo of the snake,
through reading and group discussion.
3. 情感态度与价值观:To be willing to know how to protect and
save oneself in an accident.
三 教学重点:To be able to use the past continuous with when, while and as to make sentences.
四 教学重点:To use the post continuous with adverbial clauses to make
sentences correctly.
五 媒体使用: PPT, the black board
六 教学过程:
Step1 Warm up
1. Show students the study aims of this lesson including the past continuous with when, while and as and the new phrases.
2. lead in the new phrases through asking and answering questions, guessing the pictures, and loudly reading .
Step 2 cooperative learning
1. Word review: Divide the class into 4 groups, and see which group can answer the questions about the new words just learnt as quickly as possible.
2. Pre-reading: Look at the picture and say what’s happening.
3. Skimming: Read the passage as quickly as they can, and then say what happens in the passage.
