The textile fabric is cut in differ ent shapes and reassembled by sewing in the wanted shap e and volume. Sometimes the structures can be plex. The truth is that there are more ways of m aking clothes, as we can see looking back into the history of fashion. The progress of technology in textile indu stry offers also very interesting directions that w e could not dream about some time ago. Observing carefully the economy of seams, their presence, absence or the su itable number can move us towards creative solutions that are relevant not only for the esthetic of a garment but also for the process of making clothes suggesting altern atives for the present situation and its important problems like sustainability.
