The main content of this lesson is Unit 1 Nice to Meet you from Basic English book 1 published by Higher Education Press Beijing. This period focuses on reading and writing some personal information in a name card. Ss should understand how to write or design a complete name card and use greetings in daily talk and respond.
Analysis the students
The learners are freshmen who just began their new lives in vocational school. By the pre-school test, it comes out their English proficiencies are quite different. According to the result below of the test (chart ), they are divided into 3 different levels. Most of them are boys and lack of insistence on learning foreign language. It’s hard for them to write or speak a compete sentence in English. Moreover, in order to make this class more effective, they also have done a pre-class test about this unit, and it comes out they have different comprehension towards words’ or sentences’ speaking, spelling, writing of the unit as below (chart ):
