内容摘要
西僧是元朝时期的特殊群体。大体可以分为西番僧、畏兀儿
僧、河西僧等。由于他们共同信仰藏传佛教因此统称为西僧。
元朝时期藏传佛教被尊为国教,西僧在元代的宗教地位至高无
上并遍布中原,大量西僧出入于中原地区,一方面推动了藏传
佛教的传播和发展,也壮大了各宗派在中原的宗教权益和地位;
另一方面增进了西北各少数民族与中原汉人之间文化、经济、
政治上的交流。同时也引发了一些不同思想文化上的碰撞以及
中央优待西僧而产生的负面影响。但是元朝中央以优待西僧和
尊崇藏传佛教的民族政策,加强了西北各少数民族的和平统一,
达到了统一全国的目的。元朝统治者对少数民族的管理政策被
后世借鉴及沿用,也为以后各民族与历代中央政治关系的确立
发展奠定了基础。

Abstract
The Buddhist monks have a special part of the Yuan dynasty; they
include the Tibet Buddhist monks, Uighur monks, Hexi monks and Western
Regions monks。They are believe in Tibetan Buddhism。Tibetan Buddhism
as a state religion in the Yuan dynasty。Lama monks have the highest
religious status and their influence extends to all parts of the Central Plains。
There are a large number of lama monks in the Central Plains who promote
the spread and development of Tibetan Buddhism and promote the cultural,
economic, and political exchange between the Northwest Minority and the
Central Plains people。At the same time the negative impact of Court
Preferential treatment of monks also led to different ideological and cultural
collisions。The Yuan Dynasty Court referential treatment of monks and
revered Tibetan Buddhism national policy includes strengthening of the
peaceful reunification of the north-west ethnic minorities, to achieve a
unified national purpose。Yuan Dynasty rulers have learned from and used
the management policies of ethnic minorities for generations, but also have
laid a foundation for development for the subsequent history of all ethnic
groups and the establishment of central political relations。
