在海内外打响了苏州文化品牌，五大剧团从2006年起消灭了赤字，家家都有盈利。同时，按照“大力扶持、积极引导、加强管理、逐步提高”的原则，发展民营表演团体，形成了多元化的了民间艺术表演。去年，苏州表演团体共演出10177场次，，营业额超过5000多万元。
无锡市加快产业园区和示范基地建设，把文化创意产业放到优先发展的位置，大力发展文化休闲产业、开发文化休闲产品，满足人民休闲生活的需要。以新闻出版、广播影视、文化艺术为主的传统意义上的文化产业作为“核心层”，其增加值基本上占据了全部文化产业的近50％；以软件、网络、旅游、休闲娱乐和广告会展五大新兴行业为主组成的文化产业“外围层”占据了超过30％的份额；以文化用品、设备及相关文化产品生产和销售为主的文化产业“相关层”占据了20％的份额。
常州市将文化产业与旅游结合，以已建成的中华恐龙园及正在规划建设中的太湖湾“中国游戏嘉年华”等为代表的现代高科技主题旅游项目正陆续成为闻名长三角地区乃至整个中国的旅游精品项目，成为常州文化旅游的拳头产品。已建和正在建设之中的常州大剧院、常州博物馆、常州体育中心等一系列文化设施，一方面为市民提供了陶冶情操、增强体魄的好去处，另一方面也即将成为常州的新景观、新亮点，向广大游客充分展示了常州崭新的城市文化面貌。
3、培育和发展重点文化产业
