出版本指南的目的是向用户简明介绍湛江港船舶交通管理系统（以下简称
VTS系统）的概况，船舶交管中心（以下简称 VTS中心）有关船舶交通管理和 服务方面的要求及用户需要了解的通航环境情况， 以保障船舶航行安全，提高交
通效率，保护水域环境，增进 VTS中心和用户之间的理解与合作。
Introduction
This guide is in order to provide the users with a brief in troduct ion to Zhanjia ng Vessel Traffic Service(here in after referred to as VTS), and the requireme nts of the Zhan jia ng Vessel Traffic Service Cen ter(here in after referred to as VTS)c oncerning traffic man ageme nt and service, as well as circumsta nces for n avigati on which may be n ecessary for vessefssafe n avigatio n, traffic efficie ncy and en vir onment protect ion. This guide hopes to promote the un dersta nding and cooperati on betwee n VTS and the users.
