Bronze is an alloy([ˈælɔɪ]) of copper ([ˈkɑ:pə(r)] 铜)and a variety of other elements such as tin(锡).
Bronze ware can be found in many ancient civilizations.

Bronzes have been cast in China for about 3700 years.
The Shang and Zhou dynasties ushered ([ˈʌʃə(r)])China into the height of the Bronze Age. During this period the making of bronze ware reached its zenith( [ˈzenɪθ] 顶点).
The bronze wares were unique national treasures for China in ancient times for their impressive designs, classical decorative ornamentation, and wealth of inscriptions(铭文).
