Biography:
Arno. S. SCHMID is prese nt the Preside nt of the Bun desarchitekte nkammer BAK (Federal Chamber of Germa n Architects), and former Preside nt of In ter nati onal Federati on of Lan dscape Architects - IFLA (1996- 2000). He was Scientific Director “Landscap” International
Buildi ng Exhibiti on Emscher Park (1989-1995) where he first met Ber nard Lassus. He has many publicati ons in professi onal periodicals, is repeatedly invo lved in UNESCO con fere nces and workshops, and serves in juries in ter nati on ally in many lan dscape desig n, city pla nning and architecture desig n and pla nning competiti ons.
