表示很多、大批含义的英语词组及用法
一、修饰可数名词：
1)many ，a great／good many ， a great／ large number of ，scores/dozens of。
eg:There are many people in the park.
I have a great many things to do.
She bought scores/ dozens of eggs yesterday morning．
2)Many a ／ an,也表 “很/很多的 +可名单， 谓动用单数 。
Many a young man wants to speak English．
记忆技巧：修饰可数名词你会发现组成短语的主要名词 many ，number ，score，dozen 本
身都是可数的！！
二、修饰不行数名词：
1)much ，a great／good deal of ，a large amount of
is a great deal of snow on the ground．
A million dollars is a large amount of money to me．
记忆技巧： much ，自己不行数； deal，amount 都是 " 量”，无法量。因此加不行数
三、修饰可 /不行数名词均可：
1)a lot of ，lots of ，plenty of ，a great／ large／quantity of ，
. A lot of ／Lots of people(可数 )went swimming yesterday．
A lot of ／Lots of work( 不行数 ) is to be done this week．
We have plenty of cakes(可数 ). Take some more．
Don't hurry ．There is plenty of time( 不行数 )．
2)特别说明 a lot.
用作名词，表示 “好多，多半 ”。 He knew a lot about it.
用作副词，修饰形容词和动词，表示 “特别，相当 ”。
He is feeling a lot better today．他今日感觉好多了。
She laughed a lot．她笑得很厉害。
3)注意 a quantity of 的谓语动词。后边加 +不行数名词时 ,谓语动词用单数；后边
