Naturally , it shares wit h ot her subsystems t 2 mon core of t he English language , but it also differs to some extent from ot her subsystems in many respects. The cause of t he differences consists in its function and use. Thepurpose of t his article is to make a stylistic study of t he characteristics of English for academicpurposes in sports embodied in t he lexical ,grammatical and textual dimen2 sions.
