Abstract
In order to facilitate the computer-aided pre-spinning design of original color-matching yarns,
a color prediction model was proposed based on the transmittance, reflectance and arrangement of the
monofilament from the perspective of light transmission between monofilaments. Red, green, yellow, and
blue colored films instead of monofilament were used. The films of any two colors were cut into different
sizes, and 12 multifilament samples were made by superimposing the colored films. The mixed color of the
sample was tested with datacolor colorimeter, and the color difference between the mixed color tested by
the colorimeter and predicted by the model was calculated. The factors causing the color difference were
discussed through Pearson correlation analysis. The results show that the average predicted color
difference is 0. 43 CMC (2 ∶1) color difference unit. The saturation and hue angle of the multifilament has
