Research on segment congestion based on radar trajectory data

Abstract: As the load on the airway network in the civil aviation sector continues to increase, the airway
network is becoming increasingly congested, manifested in the form of increased airway travel times. Based
on radar trajectory data, this paper proposes to characterize the definition of segment congestion by average
flight time, analyzes the radar trajectory data, extracts the effective segment data by vector fork product
method, and establishes the segment congestion model based on interval estimation method, which can
realize the controller to effectively assess the congestion situation of the segments in the airspace route
network in real time, and the assessment based on radar trajectory data is more real-time and objective than
the traditional subjective assessment. Object
