中央电视台“希望之星〞英语风采大赛是中央电视台科教节目中心主办的大型电视英语比赛，本着“培养兴趣、增强信心、展示风采、树立典范〞的原那么，为爱好英语的电视观众提供了一个锻炼自我、认识自我、捕捉机遇的舞台，深受广阔观众的欢送。 大赛自2000年起，至今已经历13年，每年举办一届。大赛以其自始至终的权威性、公正性以及媒体特有的透明度、公信力引起各方的关注和推崇。参赛选手涉及各行各业，以在校学生为主，分别来自各省、市、自治区。影响人数累计超过3000万人。到 2022年，“希望之星〞英语风采大赛已经生存了 14 年，随着时代的前 进，观众对电视需求的不断提升，大赛已经从一场传统的“树立典范〞的学术比赛进化成为一场“英语达人秀〞。
