Abstract：Seeds of Nyssa aquatic are introducted from Virginia, the United States, and A new
cultivar‘Yutianzi’were breeded from the seedlings. This cultivar has late germination with light green
florets from the end of March to the beginning of April，and long-ovate, simple，alternate leaves. The
mature leaf have a length of 10–15 cm, and a width of 5–7 cm. The leaves turn to golden yellow in
autumn. The fruits are long oval and purplish red after maturity. It is waterlogging resistant and suitable for
afforestation in low-lying areas such as farmland water network or shoal.
