本调查主要采取问卷调查法，并适当结合自己和身边同学的实际情况和行为。问卷由20个问题组成，主要询问了大学生自身的恋爱情况、对恋爱的态度、对各种行为的看法。本次实验实际发放问卷30分，回收30分，有效回收率100%。
调查概况
大学生恋爱状况的基本分析
从图中可看出在所有问卷结果中，中立的答案出现的频率最高，说明现在的大学生思想比较成熟，他们既不盲目追求爱情，也不认为大学生恋爱过早，他们思想比较灵活，感情是不能勉强的，要具体情况具体看待。而没有恋爱倾向的答案出现频率也比较高，说明相当一部分同学在大学也以学业为重，可能他们认为爱情可能会影响学习。在调查结果中，根据数据整理显示，20%的男同学已经处于恋爱阶段，80%的男同学则还没有如该阶段；而女同学中26%的同学进入了热恋阶段，其他74%则还没有进入。再者，在被调查的学生中没有一个人反对大学生谈恋爱。由以上问题可以得出，大学生恋爱已经不是奇怪的事情了，而且大学生恋爱越开越大众化，因此树立正确的爱情观显得尤其重要。

大学生选择对象情况分析
在被调查的同学中，大部分的同学选择男女朋友的主要标准都是平行，达到了58%，这也是一个比较可喜的结果，品行是一个人的内在表现，显示了一个人的人格魅力，大学生选择男女朋友以此为主要标准体现了现代大学生爱情观的又一突破，那种在农村里所谓“人才”不仅仅以外貌为标准，更以人的品行和人格为标准。而男生与女生相比，以品行为标准的人数显然居多，说明了女生的总体爱情观更接近健康。但是也有些人摆脱不了各种历史和传统观念的影响，仍然把经济和外貌等因素作为选择男女朋友的主要标准，大学生爱情观仍然存在不良之风，他们还需要端正恋爱态度，结合正确的标准，发挥大学生的主观能动性选择男女朋友。
