我的家乡平顶山
平顶山历史悠久，文化底蕴深厚。早在一万年以前的旧石器时代，这里就有古人类活动。众多的裴李岗文化遗址说明，约在7000年前，这一带就展现了较大的部落群。In classical Chinese, "Ying" and "Ying" used to pass holidays. Therefore, Pingdingshan is also called Yingcheng.
春秋时代的墨翟，叶姓华人始祖、史称叶公的XX家沈诸梁，刘姓始祖刘累，唐朝诗人元结，南宋名将牛皋，明代医学家古涛，清代文学家李绿圆，近代农人起义领袖白朗，都生于此。

历代文人名士孔子、李白、韩愈、颜真卿、苏东坡、欧阳修、范仲淹都来过此地。这里有地下应国历史博物馆之称的春秋战国时期的应国古墓，有长城之祖楚长城遗址，有古代《战国策》所列五大名剑产地的舞钢冶炼遗址，有代表汉代冶铁最高水平的望龙岗冶铁遗址，有唐代建筑、中州四大名寺之一风穴寺，有代表颜体书法的代表作之一的元次山碑，有北宋五大名窑之首的凉快寺汝官窑遗址和五大名窑之一的张公巷北宋官窑遗址，有堆汗如脂、视如碧玉、扣声如磬的汝瓷，有宋代大文豪苏洵、苏轼、苏辙的墓冢，有我国现存三座古代县级衙署中保存最完整的一座明代县衙---叶县县衙，有气势宏伟的汝学宫（汝洲文庙）等。
