Main plot
The plot is built around the fates of Amelia Sadly and Rebecca(Becky)Sharp. Amelia is the daughter of a wealth London merchant; Rebecca is an orphan. Becky is determined to warm into upper society. And so she does by varieties of immoral means. Finally she lives a life like a grand lady. While Amelia, who also experiences ups and downs in her life, marries Dobbin who has given her his lifelong love, to reward him.
