汤池温泉，位于温泉集镇区汤池畈中部。明代起建池沐浴，道光十八年扩建浴池，并建有阁楼。经安徽省第二水文地质队1988年勘测，该泉区呈带状分布，东西长1000多米，南北宽100—300米，跨越汤池大河，。目前出露的自然出水点10处，水温49℃—59℃。该泉含有多种微量元素，具有涌量、水温、化学成分稳定三大优点。用此泉沐浴，可治30余种疾病，具有养颜、养心、养生功效，尤其对关节炎、风湿性疾病、皮肤病、妇女湿热过甚产生疾病疗效显著。
抗战时期，48军军部设立汤池畈，李宗仁夫妇来此沐浴，现百年老浴池重新修缮，焕发生机。华灯初上，霓灯闪烁，流光溢彩，沐浴一条街，似都市的不夜城。
基础设施大大改善，12个村村通水泥路实施，新建安全饮水工程20处，建沼气池2000多口，改造农村危房500多户，完成了农电网改造，通信、网络、电视覆盖乡村。
经济实力不断增强，二、三产业迅速发展。汽车配件、服装加工、新型建材、商贸物流、宾馆餐饮、温泉沐浴、交通运输等不断壮大。全镇已拥有中小企业55家，规模企业10家。，财政收入470万元，，，金融机构存款余额过亿元，农民人均纯收入3688元。
