Abstract
Packed tower is well known as one of the most wildly used method in absorption zone to separate different gas by liquid phase. In this experiment, the aim is to calculate the overall liquid transfer coefficient Kxa by the equation z=0zdZ=LKxax2x1dxx-x*= value of Kxa in three groups are changeable and only two of which can work out Kxa value. The Kxa value of group 2 and group 3 is and . In addition, both the Kxa value is below 1 so that log (Kxa) is always negative. Moreover, the G and HoL have a positive linear , G and Kxa have a negative relationship, so does Kxa and three diagrams illustrate that the gas flow rate has negative influence on the efficiency of gas absorption. And the height of a transfer unit also has an inverse ratio to the efficiency.

Objectives
This experiment is designed for studying the theory of hydrodynamics and absorption processes in a packed tower. Improve the skill of solving open-ended question is also expected in this experiment.
Introduction
Absorption is a typical mass transfer process which is widely used in separation process. The removal of one or more ponents from a mixture of gases by absorption into a suitable liquid is the second major operation of chemical engineering. Packed tower is wildly used as one of the outstanding requirements to absorb with different phase solvent in both industry and laboratory.
