Knowing
Knowing is a 2009 American-British science fiction disaster film directed by Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage. The project was originally attached to a number of directors under Columbia Pictures, but it was placed in turnaround and eventually picked up by Escape Artists. Production was financially backed by Summit Entertainment.
Plot
In 1959, in pletion ceremony of William Dawes primary school, students put the picture of their expectations in a time capsule and buried them in the ground. A girl who looks quite mysterious named Lucinda Embry wrote down lines of digital that looks no law.
After 50 years, in pletion ceremony of William Dawes primary school, the school opened the time capsule and put the pictures of the students 50 years ago. A student called Caleb Koestler got Lucinda's work. And this piece of paper caused the attention of his father-a MIT university professor of astronomy who called John Koestler. He found that the digital on the paper recorded the date and the death toll of the major disasters of the past 50 years accurately. It also recorded three disasters, and the last one is a global disaster. Professor Koestler tried to defuse the ing crisis by the authorities, but the others thought he was to entertain imaginary or groundless fears. He can only fight a lone battle. With the help of Diana Wayland and her daughter Abby Wayland, Professor Koestler worked constantly, race against time, until forced to face the ultimate disaster and sacrifice.
Time capsule
A time capsule is a historic cache(储藏处)of goods or information, usually intended as a method munication with future people and to help future archaeologists(考古学家), anthropologists(人类学家) or historians(历史学家).
Time capsules are sometimes created and buried during celebrations such as a World‘s Fair(世界博览会), a cornerstone(奠基石) laying for a building or at other events.
