考研英语之辨音
掌握一种语言之根本是掌握这一语言中的常用词汇，即这一语言中的共核部分。但词汇学硬背。要富有成效地学习词汇，必须解决好几个问题：1)时间的分配;2)明确需要掌握的内容;3)记忆的方法。
所谓辨音，就是体会形音之间的关系。英语是拼音文字，在拼与读之间虽然不是完全对应，但有很多规律可循。体会多了自然就明白了。善于学词的人往往借助于读音来记忆词形，能读就能写。读得不是很准确没关系，关键在于利用拼读这个桥梁来帮助记忆词形。
所谓辨形，是指利用形音关系来分辨词形，避免词形相近的词汇的混淆。而且注意体会词的构成。善于学词的人看到的是几个成分，而不善于学词的人看到的是一连串的字母。体会词的'构成的一个简单方法就是将一个词的不同词类并到一块记忆，并注意体会其差异和共同点。时间一长，规律也就有了。
所谓辨义，是指从根本上弄清一个词的意义。绝对不要以为英语一个词就等于相应的那个中文意义。中文一个词表现的是一个“点”，英语一个词表现的是一个“面”。中文几乎是一字，一音，一义。而英语往往是一词，一串音，多义。英语一个词的意义是它的所有意义的总和。因此，学词时一定要注意联系相关词(即名词，动词，形容词，副词一块记)，和相关词义(即本书中所列出的一个词的几个基本词义)。这样学词，既有助于掌握英语词的构成规律，又有利于分辨所谓同义词，近义词。
辨用法是许多人所忽视，然而又是学好用好英语的最重要的一步。词汇学习可以分为两个层次：认知层次和应用层次。许多人学英语只限于认知层次，因此学了多年也用不上。而如今许多考试都越来越重视应用层次。这是形势发展的必然结果。一种语言的具体应用无非表现在听、说、读、写、译五个方面。无论在哪个方面，都不能单靠掌握词汇的形、音、义。英语词汇的特点决定了表意必须靠结构。所谓结构指的就是句型、短语、表达法和术语。因此，必须把句型、短语、表达法、和术语看作与掌握生词同等重要，甚至更为重要。英语词汇中，有的词意义明确具体，只要认知就不会错。有的词却词义广泛。尤其是常用词，词义多，用途广，使用频率高。许多常用词的词义必须落实到具体结构上，否则等于没意义。
