[摘要] 虚拟世界是一种新出现的由用户想象和创造的3D虚拟环境。在这种虚拟环境中,图书馆服务有了新的发展。众多图书馆在虚拟世界中建立了自己的虚拟图书馆,图书馆由二维空间延伸到三维空间。虚拟世界图书馆已供的服务包括资源检索与获取、提供多种资源、与用户互动、网络会议等等。在虚拟世界图书馆的实施中,成本与盈利也是不能不考虑的因素。随着虚拟世界给图书馆服务带来的重要影响,虚拟世界图书馆将迎来良好的发展前景。

[Abstract] Virtual world is a new 3D virtual environment imagined and created by its users. In this virtual environment, library services have a new development. Many libraries set up their own virtual libraries in the virtual world. The library extends from two-dimensional space to three-dimensional space. The services provided by virtual world libraries include resources services, various library resources, interactive services, online conference and so on. As to the implementation of the virtual world libraries, the cost and profit should be taken into account. As the virtual world bring important affections to the library services, the virtual world library will have good prospects.
