一形容词定义 Definition of adjectives
用来描述或修饰名词、代词,以表示其性质或特征(相当于中文中的“……的”)
Eg: She is a good student.
This classroom is so clean.
There are many birds in the trees.
Our new teacher looks kind and gentle.
Happy birthday to you !
He is six years old.
The boy (who is) six years old is my brother.
二形容词分类 Classification of adjectives:
单词形容词One-word Adjective
eg: big,small,hot,cold,good,bad
按照构成分: pound Adjective
eg:lovely,impossible,unthinkable,
one-word,warm-hearted,
five-year-old,easy-going
二形容词分类 Classification of adjectives:
静态形容词Stative Adjective(静止状态)
eg:tall,short,beautiful,ugly,
按照意义分 good,bad,white,black
动态形容词Dynamic Adjective(动作)
eg:patient,noisy,generous,helpful
动态形容词可用于be的进行时和祈使句中,而静态形容词则不能。
eg: She was being helpful.
She is being beautiful. ×
Be more patient next time.
二形容词分类Classification of adjectives:
品质形容词(可用于than的比较句式中)
eg: plicated,big,small
This problem is plicated than that.
按照含义分: 关系形容词(词本身已包含than的含义)
eg: superior(上等的,较好的)
inferior(低等的,较次的)
senior(年长的,资深的)
junior(年少的,资历较浅的)
be superior/inferior to that

(1)形容词作定语
1. The man is in a dangerous situation.
2. The pretty girl is dancing.
(2)形容词作表语
1. Your brother is very honest .
2. He looks tired.
(3)形容词作主语、宾语补足语
found the book difficult.
2. The book was found difficult.
三形容词用法 Use of adjectives
※只做表语的形容词:以a-开头的形容词
系动词:
be动词(am,is,are,was,were,e …)
+a-adj(afraid,alone,asleep,awake …)
am afraid that I can’t do it.
was asleep at 7.
are awake at this moment.
四形容词位置 Location of adjectives

——形容词+名词(adj+n)
old man lived in a small village.
elder brother is a famous writer.
单词形容词一般放在名词前
