Abstract
Oliver Twist is one of the most famous novels of Dickens, which described the living condition of the lowest class of British society in Victory Time. Dickens achieved his biting criticism of social conditions through deep satire and hyperbolic words of symbolic skills and he uses the symbolism so skillfully that it enhances the artistic effects of his works greatly and it made his novel more attractive and essful. In Oliver Twist, symbolism runs through the whole novel and it shows his anger and sympathy to the poor. Dickens used such witting skill to give voice to the poor who did not have right to say anything.
