Good afternoon, everyone! This is my second individual speech, if only it could get your appreciation.
Firstly, I want to ask you what are these pieces of green paper on the screen? Yes, you know, they are money, they are dollars, the universal currency in the world. But do you know why American choose them to pany themselves day and night and do you know who are them on earth? Let me introduce them to you one by one according to ascending sequence of the face values of the dollar-bills on which they are printed.
The first person who is printed on one dollar-bills is e Washington. About him, I needn't to say too much. e Washington, who led the War of Independence, is regarded as the father of America. His leadership made America transform into an independent country from a colony essfully. Without him, there would not have been America. As the first president of The United States, he is just the symbol of independence of America.
Thomas Jefferson, the person on two dollar-bills, was the draftsman of The Declaration of Independence. He is honored as the "the emissary of freedom". The spirit that he represented is not only the construction foundation of American, but also appreciated by the whole world.
Look this man on the five dollar-bills. Maybe you can not be more familiar with him. Yes, he is Abraham Lincoln, the great liberator. Among all American, he is almost the only one who is respected by all the people whether you are an American or not. He represented the base values that all men are created equal(equality).
Alexander Hamilton, the person on ten dollar-bills, was one of the creates of America. He was an politician and diplomat. The policies that he carried out made America rich and strong. He paid more attention to private possessions, thinking that private property is inviolable. He was the spokesman of American individualism spirit.
