四川安岳舍身岩摩崖造像调查报告

Abstract: The cliff sculptures of Sheshenyan, located at the Dayue village of Linfeng township in Anyue, Sichuan province, were first constructed in the middle of the eighth century. There are now fifteen niches remaining on the cliff, mainly consisting of images of Sakyamuni Buddha, Maitreya’s preaching scenes, binations of both Buddhist and Taoist images. According to the cave form, image themes, and style, these sculptures were mainly influenced by those in places from northern Sichuan such as Bazhong and Guangyuan.

舍身岩位于四川省安岳县林凤镇大月村十组,西北距县城约38 Km。造像分布在舍身岩西面山崖顶部。从崖面右侧山路至崖顶有现代铺设的条石栈道,造像所在崖面西面前方有条石围砌栏杆。舍身岩摩崖造像现存15龛,保存较好,XX年被公布为四川省级文物保护单位。XX年7―9月,四川大学考古学系、成都文物考古研究所、安岳县文物局联合组成调查队,首次对舍身岩摩崖造像点进行了详细调查和记录。兹将调查情况报告如下。
一造像分布
舍身岩摩崖造像所在崖面呈两次转折,大致为南北走向。崖面西南面有2龛,向北呈锐角转折成崖面西面,有12龛,向西约呈90°转折,中间隔一石阶,为崖面南面,仅有1龛。按从上往下、从左往右的顺序{1},西南面2龛编
