Abstract
With the rapid developing of urban economy and the society, how to deal with the
issues of urban master planning in traditional methods is one of the challenges facing the
new round of urban master planning. The thesis discussed the applications of Quick Bird
image in urban master planning in a bit to provide an approach to help solve the existing
problems in master planning.
The thesis began with analysis of the current situation of urban master planning in our
country and discussed the needs for remote sensing techniques in the decision making and
management of urban master planning in accordance with the existing problems in master
planning.
The thesis analyzed the feasibilities of Quick Bird image applying in urban master
planning; the paper also discussed the adaptability of Quick Bird image to the need of
urban master planning decision making and management.
