城市更新,是目前城市发展的主题之一,它于不同的层面,多方位地影响着
城市建设,是城市政策的制订、城市理论的发展、建设实践的执行中重要的议题。
随着经济的快速发展,许多城市正面临着物质老化,以及结构功能衰退的问题,
社会也进行着全方位的变革,在此基础之上,城市物质空间、人文空间的变动与
重构,以及与之相对应的城市公共空间形态的整合和特色空间环境的重塑就成为
许多城市更新过程中需要谨慎对待的问题。
在解读城市时,公共空间也是最重要、最复杂的概念之一,它更能系统地揭
示社会演变的方式、规模和走向。公共空间整合研究在城市建设过程中担当着比
以往更为重要的责任,扮演着更为活跃的角色,将其置于城市有机更新的框架与
背景之下,可以使我们以更为务实的视角进行观察与分析,提高现代城市设计的
可行性操作。
研究的内容并不是试图在城市更新的理论框架下对城市公共空间设计的相
关问题进行全面的调整与突破,而只是对围绕城市公共空间整合中一些新的观点
与问题进行理论与实践的探讨。重点是通过对国内外城市公共空间整合的成功案
例进行分析,分别从整合公共空间的组织秩序、交通体系、景观体系、形态意象
四个方面,系统地归纳了城市公共空间形态整合设计与方法;并以淮安市淮海南
路城市设计为例进行实证性研究,进一步阐述了整合机制的分层和运作;架构科
学合理的方法论,重塑具有特色的城市空间环境,最终使城市公共空间的发展走
向有机、有序。
研究的意义不仅限于在理论层面上,并且为实际操作过程提供设计理论依
据,对现阶段我国大规模的城市更新与公共空间建设具有现实的指导意义。

ABSTRACT

City renewal is one of the main themes in the course of city development, which
is important issues and has a multi-faceted influence on the construction of urban, the
formulation of policy, the theory of development and the implementation of
construction at different levels. Along with rapid economic development, many cities
are facing material aging, and functional structure of the recession, which have also
carried out all-round social changes. In this basis, the material space, and modern
human space have been changing, and corresponding to the integration of public
space patterns and characteristics of the space environment, which need the careful
treatment in the process of renewal in many cities.
In the interpretation of city, public space is the most important and plex
concept, one that is more systematic manner to revealed social evolution, size and
direction. In the building process, studies on the integration of public space are
playing a more important responsibility and a more active role than ever. In the
background and the framework of anic renewal, it allows us to observe more
pragmatic perspective and analysis.
