I Abstract The Studying on the Chinese Character Design in Digital Context of the Chinese Character Evolution The Studying on the Chinese Character Design in Digital Context of the Chinese Character Evolution Abstract Nowadays, Chinese character design gets support from both ancient Chinese characters and digitalized technologies. This paper will study from two different angles, one of which is the developing process from ancient Chinese characters to modern Chinese characters while the other is the update of the carrier of Chinese character, about the future possibility and trend of the development of modern Chinese character design. Initiatively, this paper not only studies the new base point of the recreation of Chinese character design longitudinally during the history process from seal-cutting to handwriting to typography, but also uses a modern transverse view from typography to digitalization.
