ABSTRACT
Since the 21st century, the world has entered the information era. The development of
information technology industry brings profound reform to the production and lifestyle of
human beings, and it has become one of the main industries promoting the national economic
development. The attention paid by people to information technology industry makes IT news
become an indispensable part of the news section in the various media. Hence, the importance
of the research on translating IT news into Chinese for ordinary readers is significant.
IT is the general term of the various technologies adopted to manage and handle
information. IT news is to deliver the newest message about information technology. It takes
the introduction of the various IT products including computers and telecommunication as the
core，in addition to it is also involved with new technologies and new applications. Besides, it
provides the product price, market information, product’ evaluation and shopping guide
information. The essays of IT news have their distinctive literary structures and features with
many professional terms, relatively flexible syntactic structure, strong logic and paying
particular attention to popularity and interest of language. The report takes the domestic and
foreign modern translation theories for reference, and it is combined with a large number of
materials and examples in translation practice to conduct an in-depth exploration on the
