摘要
吴组缃是二、三十年代著名的乡土小说家,他一生中创作的小说作品并不是
很多,但却以独特的创作风格和反映社会的深刻、挖掘人性的深度,奠定了他
在中国现代文学史上的重要地位。本文力图从他小说作品的社会主题、叙事特
色和他对社会分析小说的贡献等三个方面对他的小说进行了全面的考察,以揭
示他的小说的整体风貌。在社会主题方面,他的小说着重从伦理道德而非政治
意识形态的角度,表现当时腐败的社会政治制度和衰败的民族经济对城乡社会
经济和农村中的传统伦理道德和社会经济的破坏,再现一幕幕令人惊心动魄的
社会图景,展现一幅幅人性受到扭曲和异化的农村社会众生相。在叙事特色上,
首先,他的小说形成了个性鲜明的小说文体,这种文体侧重通过人物之间的对
话,凸显了一系列性格特征明显的人物形象,推动小说情节的运行和发展;其
次,他还善于不断改变小说的叙事视角,造成一种复杂的多声部的艺术效果;
此外,他运用富有感性色彩的小说语言,跃动着一种“情绪的力量”,形成小
说叙事的一种内在节奏和艺术的张力。在吴组缃的小说与社会分析小说的关系
上,重点从他在创作和理论两个方面对社会分析小说所做出的贡献予以阐释,
凸显他作为社会分析小说家的文学地位。
吴组缃善于在小说创作中兼收并蓄,在吸收古典文学的美学风格的同时,
又借鉴了西方现实主义的创作因素。在极力否定古代文化成果的“五四”精神
和高度意识形态化的“左翼”文学为主流的时代语境下,他的创作努力无疑是
难能可贵的,这也是本文选择吴组缃作为研究对象的原因所在。

Abstract
Wu Zu-xiang is a famous rural novelist in the 1920s to the 1930s. He didn’t
compose many novels in his lifetime, but he won an important position in the history
of Chinese modern literary by his unique creative style and the depth of reflecting
the society and human nature in his novels. This article tries to reveal his novels’
overall feature from three aspects such as his novels’ social theme, his narrative
characteristics and his contributions to the social analysis novels. In his novels’
social themes, mainly focused on ethics rather than political and ideological point of
view, he described the damage that the corrupted political system and the decayed
urban and rural economic influenced the traditional ethical and socio-economic in
rural areas, so that to reproduce a frightening scenes of social picture, show the
human nature which had been distorted and varied in the rural society. In the aspect
of the narrative feature, first of all, his novels formed a distinct personality of the
