新源天街菜市场是由廊坊市新源天街商城管理有限公司兴建，坐落
在廊坊市建国道235号，毗邻管道局居民区和管道局医院，地理位置非常
优越，人口密度大，交通非常便利。新源天街菜市场属于我市菜篮子工程
重点项目，于2009年5月开工，2010年10月份竣工，是一处多功能封闭
式的大型室内集贸市场。该工程总投资额5070万元，占地9亩，总建筑面
积7854平米，营业面积3500余平米，拥有固定摊位105个。主要经营项目
为水产品类、蔬菜、肉类、禽蛋类、豆制品类和粮油副食品类等。在投入使
用后依托商品经营多样化，管理规范化，现如今已经拥有较多的固定客户群体，
对周边社区居民形成了较强的消费辐射能力。
但是随着廊坊城市规模的不断扩张，市民的生活质量的不断提高，新源天街菜市场无论是建设和管理、特别是市场的基建配套设施存在诸多需要改善、完善的方面。
