食品行业、重点食品品种、城区无证无照餐饮单位、重大活动重要时节食品专项整治，逐步实现食品安全工作目标。六是强化宣传。通过设立食品安全宣传栏，开设食品安全知识讲座，免费发放食品安全知识宣传资料等形式，引导广大市民树立正确的食品消费观念，营造食品安全工作良好氛围。七是提高能力。通过加强制度建设、加大投入，不断强化基层食品安全监管队伍建设。

我市被评为全省高效农业规模化先进县（市）
近年来，我市为提高农产品质量，加大了全市高效设施农业建设步伐，实行龙头企业加基地及合作组织等模式促进农业生产规模化，管理规范化，确保源头食品安全。
日前，从江苏省农林厅、江苏省海洋与渔业局、江苏省财政厅联合下发的《关于下达2008年高效农业规模化工作考核奖励资金的通知》中获悉，张家港市被评为全省高效农业规模化先进县（市），并获得100万元奖励资金。
