Abstract
Chinese national spirit is the crystallization of collective wisdom of Chinese nation
formed during thousands of year’s history, it is the heart and soul of Chinese national
culture and play an important role in the historical development of the Chinese nation with
the functions of guide, cohesion and encouragement. Now, the Chinese national spirit also
plays the same important role in socialist construction with the Chinese characteristics. It’s
not only the spiritual power that realizes the great national revival, but also the spiritual
weapon that handles the global cultural challenge.
With the deepening of reform and opening up, the Chinese nation is facing the stern
challenge. After the opening, Chinese people aware of the prosperous scene of the western
developed country, compare with them, our economy in recent centuries obviously fell
behind. Meanwhile, the Chinese national pessimism emergence, weakened the Chinese
national spirit function. So, we must carry forward and especially cultivate the national
spirit.
Since the party 16 has brought carry forward and cultivate the national spirit on the
schedule. The domestic theorists raise a new high tide to the national spirit research. This
article is plies with this historical tidal wave. Try to do some research
between national identification and cultivation of national spirit. This thesis is divided into
four parts: part one, elaborated the definition of national identification and its relevant
concepts; part two, the connotation and historical development of national spirit; part three,
the impact that national identification has on national spirit; part four, the last but not least,
cultivation of national spirit.
