　　学习心理学知识，对于人的生活、工作、学习、身体、思想等各个方面都有重要作用，兹列举以下几个方面：

　　⑵有助于父母搞好家庭教育。对于每个做父母的人来说，“望子成龙”、“望女成凤”的心情是可以理解的。但往往方法不当，或者是过于迁就，或者是拨苗助长，因而常常事与愿违。其原因是：不懂得如何根据儿童的年龄特征、心理特点来进行因材施教，只知爱孩子而不了解孩子。今天，对独生子女的教育，更需要有心理学的知识。
　
　　⑶有助于搞好教育工作。无论是教师还是学生都应该发展自身的良好的心理品质，矫正自己的不良行为，培养自己的高尚情操、各种促销手段叠出，广告之声不绝于耳；消费者的需要不断更新，消费需要种类与范围不断增多和扩展。心理学的知识有助于经营者提高经营管理水平，促进销售；有助于消费者增加对市场经营活动的认识，有助于提高购买能力，促进消费生活的合理化和消费质量的提高。
　
　　⑺有助于确立辩证唯物主义的世界观。列宁曾经提出：“心理学提供的一些原理已使人们不得不拒绝主观主义而接受唯物主义。”列宁还把心理学列为“构成认识论和辩证法的知识领域”之一。马克思主义的认识论和辩证法的论据之一就是心理学研究的成果。心理学对于心理现象的研究。对于意识的起源、发生和发展的研究，对于人对客观现实的反映过程的研究，都能进一步地和具体地论证物质第一性、意识第二性、意识是高度组织起来的物质的产物、意识是对客观世界的反映等哲学命题，从而有助于我们确立辩证唯物主义的世界观，并清除二元论和唯心主义的影响。
